Who we are

We are a registered Not For Profit Charity. We are not religious or political and we treat all people with respect and dignity regardless of who they are or where they have come from in life. We are based in Cloncurry (Mitakoodi country) and Mount Isa (Kalkadoon country). Our purpose is to assist anyone, especially young people to overcome barriers to learning, working and enjoying life in Mount Isa and Cloncurry. We focus on the value of a work routine.

We are primarily here to assist young people get an education and meaningful work skills and enjoying the community they live in. We are a NDIS registered charity and provide valuable services such as supported independent living homes in Mount Isa and Cloncurry, the homes have 24/7 care available. We have 2 occupational therapists based in Mount Isa and Cloncurry. RedDoor provides supported employment in our Cloncurry Multiskill Centre and also in our smaller training and therapy hub in Mt Isa. We also provided social support.

We started in 2015 unofficially and then formed our current structure in 2017. The name RedDoor came from the then-unnamed social enterprise cafe. Locals in Cloncurry knew to go through the red fire exit door to access the cafe. We then started to be called the RedDoor Cafe, and we registered it as our trading name. The official name is Multiskill Centre Ltd.

    An experienced local. Lladyssa has worked in the community services sector and has a passion for seeing young people getting the help they need to get started. Lladyssa runs our driver logbook program.

    Experienced in supporting members of the community Lynlee leads the Cloncurry SIL houses and provides direction to the board on the best way to support SIL clients in Mt Isa and Cloncurry.

    Social Enterprise and Young People Member

    Frances is a Cloncurrite who started with RedDoor Cafe many years ago. She now runs a Social Enterprise and provides direction to the board on young people in social enterprise.

  • Kelly Davis

    Education and Training Member

    This team member heads our Vocational Training Administration and has daily interaction with students who have disengaged from mainstream training. She is Cloncurry born and based and provides direction to the board on the progress of students and how best to assist them reach their goals.

  • Namika Bell

    NDIS Supports Member

    This team member heads our NDIS administration team and has intimate knowledge of the needs and supports required locally in Cloncurry and Mt Isa. She is a Cloncurry local and provides direction to the board on the resources required to support NDIS clients in Mt Isa and Cloncurry.
